Trailers

The Manx Electric Railway operates a variety of vintage Victorian and Edwardian unpowered trailer cars, uncommon in the wider tramway world but frequently in use on the Isle of Man.

Throughout it’s career, the M.E.R. has had a total of 36, of which 29 survive today in some shape or form. This page lists all the line’s Trailer fleet by type, design and build date. Please click on a fleet number to see a more detailed page about that vehicle.
