As part of the regular openings of the new Manx Electric Railway Museum at Derby Castle, a special day has been organised to celebrate the record-holding statuses of 1893-built Car No.1 and Car No.2.

The 121-year old vehicles jointly hold the distinction of being the “Worlds oldest operating trams on their original line” in the Guiness Book of Records, and the museum team are keen to discover how many editions of the book the Manx veterans have appeared in. Visitors are invited to bring their copies of the book from various years to the museum on Sunday 26th October, where both No.1 and No.2 will on display.

More details on the museum and its opening hours can be found HERE.
