Trailer No.61 Returns to Service

The evening of the 13th of May 2017 saw one of the Manx Electric Railway’s 1906-built Trailers, No.61, return to service following a truck overhaul – the first time No.61 has operated on the M.E.R in nearly 9 years.

The Trailer was paired with ‘Winter Saloon’ Car No.19 as part of the evening’s Snaefell Dining Event to Laxey. After dropping passengers off, the pair continued as a test run for the trailer to Lewaigue, returning to Laxey where diner passengers were carried back to Derby Castle in No.19.
