Following the recent weather conditions, a landslip in the Ballabeg area has caused
temporary amendments of the Manx Electric Railway services,
between Baldrine and Laxey.
From the 15th of October all northbound services will terminate at
Baldrine (Pole 215), there, passengers can board the waiting shuttle bus at the Church Hall stop
to continue their journey onto Laxey, where they can then
connect with the Snaefell Mountain Railway or onward services
All southbound services will run from Ramsey to Laxey as normal,
there passengers can board the waiting shuttle bus to continue
their journey south. The shuttle bus will stop at
Baldromma (Pole 165), where passengers can continue their journey
via the M.E.R, or choose to stay aboard the bus that will continue
onto Derby Castle.
Services will run as normal from Laxey to Ramsey, and the shuttle bus service is free to valid M.E.R ticket holders.
Departures from Derby Castle and Ramsey will run as
scheduled on the 2012 Railway timetable (currently Timetable B).
