4 – Further Improvements and Year-Round Service
After testing with the new sprung bow collectors in Spring 1894, it was decided that they could be further improved on, and a third variant was fitted to the class. This was to be the last fitted to the 1-3 series, although a further development was fitted to the 10-13 series of Cars which were delivered in 1895. The cars themselves had settled into full year-round service on the Laxey extension in the mid-1890s, working alongside 4-9 and the newly built 10-13 series.
