Terminus Photography Tour – 26/07/2013

Join us for a special tour visiting every principal terminus the M.E.R. has used throughout its 120 year history.

Photography stops will be held at:

Groudle Glen (1893), Laxey (1894), Laxey (1896/7)…

 Laxey (1898), Ballure (1898), Ramsey (1899)…

and the sites of the Bulgham Gap stations (1967).

Additional stops will be made at Bonner Corner (Between Laxey Old Road and Skinscoe) and Windy Bridge (between Ballure and Belle Vue).

The tour (conducted by manxelectricrailway.co.uk volunteer stewards) also includes a stop at Laxey for a discussion about the Blacksmith Siding and Laxey Station.

The Car/Trailer Combination (subject to on the day set availablity) is currently hoped to be Car No.7 and 1893-built Trailer No.51.

Tour Start: Derby Castle: 17:45
Tour Depart: Derby Castle 18:00 prompt

Break and Talk: Laxey Blacksmiths Siding 21:20 to 21:45

Tour End: Derby Castle: 22:20
(Connections onward for the Bus Vannin No.12 bus to Douglas, Lord St at 22:33)

Fares and How to Book:
£10.00 per person (joining at Derby Castle)
