The following is a provisional schedule of events for the 2013 Isle of Man 50 Group events period from the 24st to the 28th of July. These enthusiast orientated events coincide with the Manx Heritage Transport Festival held later in the same week.
Days for each event are currently unallocated, but the following events are expected to take place:-
EVENING GET TOGETHER
On Saturday evening entertainment is a Slide Show, along with some refreshments.
OPEN TOP BUSDAY
We have arranged to hire the Open Top Bus from Mann Sightseeing Tours. A suitable Route will be worked out and this will allow participants to view and photograph the Steam Railway and the Manx Electric Railway from an unusual vantage point.
CROGGA VALLEY RAILWAY
Once again, we have arranged to visit this delightful Miniature Railway, in the Grounds of Crogga House, for what is sure to be a very enjoyable and entertaining visit.
ISLE OF MAN RAILWAY DAY
We intend to run our usual Steam Train hire for the day, with a programme of Photo-stops and Run-Pasts. This Year it is hoped to use the newly restored No. 15 ‘Caledonia’ along with appropriate Rolling Stock.
An Evening Meal in a Douglas Hotel will be arranged.
MANX ELECTRIC RAILWAY DAY – ‘ TRIPLE TRAM TUESDAY ‘
An all day hire on the Manx Electric, with a series of Photo-stops and Run-Pasts at various locations, many not easily reached by Public Transport.
This Year, subject to Stock availability, we are intending to run Three Different Sets of Tram and Trailer, on a Douglas – Groudle, Douglas – Laxey and Douglas – Ramsey Journey and will have various Photo-Stops and Run-pasts on the Various Journies.

The cost per person for 2013 is £125. Unfortuantely it is not possible for us to provide an option whereby you can pick and choose which events you would like to take part in for a reduced cost. You are quite welcome to not attend all the events (if some of them don’t interest you), however the cost remains the same.
All events are subject to change or cancellation. No refunds can be made except in the circumstance of the whole programme of events being cancelled.
