Due to the bus staff strikes on the island on Thursday 20th, Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd of December, the Manx Electric Railway will be replacing the Douglas to Ramsey No.3 bus route on a temporary basis.
These will operate to the following timetables, available in the below PDF documents:
A special bus will link Derby Castle with the centre of Douglas and St Ninians, Bemahauge and Ballakermeen High Schools at the appropriate times.
Santa Specials: The advertised ‘Santa Trams’ service on Saturday December 22nd will still be in operation, and the departure times/fares given for it still apply. The ‘Santa Trams’ service for Sunday December 23rd will also operate as advertised.
Fares: Normal Bus fares will be in operation, with Explorer Tickets and Residents Season Tickets/Railcards dated for 2012 and 2013 also valid.
Enthusiast Information: A 6 car service will be in operation, from a pool of Cars No.1, No.5, No.6, No.9, No.19 and No.20, and Trailers No.57, No.58 and No.59.
Single-line working will be in operation between:
Lewaigue and Ramsey Car Shed (landslip works on the sea-side track at Ballure)
